Description

The High Risk Peer Home Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of the Peer Home which includes;
-Recruiting, training and supervising staff and providing evaluations of each subordinate staff member as per policy
-Performing administrative duties related to personnel issues, resident care documentation and the safety and maintenance of the facility
-Preparing shift schedules for all staff
Handling critical incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
-Ensuring children understand the value of the program in which they are placed.
-Actively participating with the children in programs whenever possible, ensuring all staff are doing the same.
-Evaluating the effectiveness of the programs for children and suggest changes where necessary.
-Monitoring activities and providing feedback through reports, both verbal and written, and keeping daily logs.
-Implementing and maintaining consistent routines in the facilities allowing children the opportunity to feel safe and know what to expect.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent 3  5 years of supervisory experience
Demonstrated ability to support, train and manage staff.
Willingness to participate in training.
Knowledge of the Woodland Cree culture & language and the political and social objectives of First Nations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a community-based organization.
Willingness to travel when required.
Valid Drivers license and access to a vehicle.
Willingness to work after hours when required.
Preference will be given to persons of First Nations Ancestry.
