Description

OWZW Lawyers LLP is an established, full-service law firm in Regina, SK. We are looking for a Manager, Finance and Administration to join our senior management team. As a member of the leadership team, you will provide leadership to a suite of administrative and support functions that make a value-added contribution to the effective performance of the firm. Key corporate functions include: financial services, effective management of people, facilities, IT and administration.
Our ideal candidate will be an effective, experienced, results-oriented individual who can support and lead the firm in operational planning, financial management and people leadership with a high level of discretion.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining financial records, including operational budgets, reconciliation and preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports and applicable tax filings.

Oversee the financial operations including developing financial policies and procedures, providing strategic and operational accounting advice.

Considerable interaction with outsourced IT professionals to ensure the effective implementation and operation of critical IT systems.

Provide leadership and advice in all areas of HR including staffing, performance management and recognition, benefits administration and payroll.

As a member of the leadership team, participate in financial and HR committees. Organize and oversee meetings while preparing and distributing meeting notices, agendas and materials.

Manage day-to-day operation of facilities including space allocation, maintenance and security issues.

Qualifications
Typically, the required knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are acquired through the successful completion of a degree in Commerce or Business Administration, supplemented with relevant work experience.
A CPA designation would also be an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
