The Peepeekisis School located on the Peepeekisis First Nation provides a full range of K-12 programs and services for approximately 150 students. This position is responsible for the day to day administration and management of the Pesakastew School and leadership in areas of academic development, strategic planning, operational and capital budgeting, human resources management, staff development, community relations, government relations, accreditation planning and execution. This is a full-time position to commence the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.
Qualifications:
Masters of Education would be preferred or combination of 5 years relative work experience and Bachelor of Education would also be considered;
Possess excellent communication skills including written, oral and interpersonal skills;
Have initiative and judgment, confidentiality is imperative;
Ability to work with Human Resources with staffing concerns;
Possess teamwork and cooperation and planning, and monitoring skills;
Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to work with minimal supervision;
Work with Director of Education on budgeting;
Have a good understanding of First Nations cultures, traditions;
Able to work well with Chief and Council, community , families;
Must provide a Criminal Record check, Vulnerable Sector Check;
Provide a Valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate;
Be willing to undergo drug test
