Description

Responsibilities
Working with the clients site project team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the successfully planning, executing and evaluating multiple projects concurrently.  Duties shall include at least the following:
    Coordinate, support, organize, and assist with the management multiple projects.
    Utilize the Owners project management software to monitor and document the projects health, providing recommendations to improve overall project progress.
    Develop and implement cost controlling initiatives.
    Prepare project schedules and monitoring adherence to the project baseline, making adjustments as necessary.
    Control change and recommend actions for prevention.
    Facilitate regular project meetings to maintain the flow of information across the project team and to the owner.
    Promote opportunities for improvement in all areas of a projects execution.
    Undertake additional tasks as necessary to ensure project success.

This is a field-based site position, therefore travel, working in remote locations, and on a rotational basis may be required.

Experience & Education
    A minimum of two (2) years experience working in the area of project controls is required, with preference provided to candidates having involvement with executing successful industrial construction projects.
    Candidates must be detail oriented with a solid understanding of cost control methods and have the ability to work under pressure, bringing a commitment to exceed expectations.
    Accounting, finance, or administration education is preferred.
Assets
    Cost professional designation: CGA, CCT or CCP (AACE), etc.
    An understanding of project management processes including PMP designation
    Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the rest of the Office suite
    Expertise using cost management and project scheduling software
    Strong communication, verbal, written and presentation skills
    Exceptional problem-solving and collaboration skills
