Description

Saulteaux Heritage School is a Pre-k to grade 8 educational institution located on the Saulteaux First Nation approximately 40 km north of North Battleford, SK.

The Saulteaux First Nation is seeking a Full Time Vice-Principal for the 2024-2025 School Year. The Vice-Principal alongside the Principal will provide leadership and administration to our school Staff and Students in a manner that supports their continuing education and professional growth.

Reports to: Principal/Director of Education

Requirements and Skills:
Effective interpersonal and communication skills;
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
Maintain effective communication to staff, student, parents, and community;
A teaching philosophy that reflects an effective and cooperative learning approach;
Ability to work effectively within an environment which includes developing meaningful and productive relationships with students, parents, professionals and community service agencies;
Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students needs and progress;
Observe and evaluate students performance, behaviours, social development, and physical health;
Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, and extra-curricular activities

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education Degree (B.Ed.);
Masters Degree in Education preferred;
Minimum 5 years experience in leadership role with a Teaching background;
Previous successful school administration experience would be considered an asset;
A Valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate;
Ability to maintain Confidentiality;
Must have a Valid Drivers license;
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills;
Demonstrated organization and analytical skills;
Cultural Competency;
Provide a recent Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
