Description

Angela Degelman, Director of Permanent Search- Accounting and Finance, has teamed up yet again with one of Aplin Saskatoons most valued clients. A leader in the Public Accounting space, our client focuses on trusted relationships, business growth and balance for their employees. They have changed the game when it comes to client service in public practice and offer a wide array of services to customers in several different types of industries. Reporting to the Management Committee (acting on behalf of the partners), the Director of Operations is directly responsible for the performance of the organization, the success of its operations, and the implementation of strategic planning. Internally, the Director of Operations will focus on the ongoing improvement of the organizations business model to ensure maximum productivity and profit.  This individual will also provide financial leadership by managing budgets and monitoring long-term strategic fiscal plans.

Responsibilities:
Regularly report to the Management Committee on the firm's status against, and ability to meet its strategic and operational objectives.
Keep the Management Committee informed about business activities, potential threats, opportunities, and recommended actions ensuring there is an effective relationship between managers and the Partners.
Direct Management of service lines, Administration Services, Finance, Information Technology & Systems Management, Marketing and Communications.
Establish and maintain key relationships with strategic business partners, such as suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
Qualifications:
A university degree in Accounting, Business or Finance, or MBA is preferred, other experience may be considered.
Minimum of 10 years experience within a profitable organization in progressively more responsible positions.
Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on mentoring and motivating an employee base of professionals.
