Description

Express Employment Regina is currently seeking Maintenance Technician candidates for a top client of ours in the industrial production field. The ideal candidate will possess a mechanical maintenance background servicing both production plan machinery as well as mobile power equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, machinery, and facilities according to established schedules.
Inspect and assess the condition of equipment to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement.
Troubleshoot equipment and machinery problems to determine the root cause and implement effective solutions.
Monitor equipment performance and efficiency, adjusting or recommending upgrades as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and parts inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies, techniques, and industry best practices.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on criticality and impact on operations.
Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
Support facility operations during scheduled shutdowns, maintenance projects, or special events as required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training or certification in maintenance-related field.
6 to 10 years experience performing maintenance on heavy equipment such as Roll Crushers, Finger Crushers, Compressors, Elevators, and Motors.
Extensive knowledge of bearings and gear boxes, forklift and bobcat preventive maintenance, spare parts, and vendor management.
Basic Welding skills are an asset.
Experience with Forklift or Bobcat Operation is required. Certification is an asset.
