Job Description: The Assessor Coordinator - Degree position reports to the Manager. This position is responsible for the provision of case management as well as health promotion and prevention services to Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) clients experiencing problems related to mental health and addictions.  

The Assessor Coordinator - Degree position also provides assessments and bridges to therapeutic interventions for clients and their families, addressing the emotional and social needs of clients facing mental health and addiction issues, with the primary objective to support and strengthen social functioning. This is done through collaboration with the client and/or family, the Interdisciplinary Team and other service providers within the Saskatchewan Health Authority and communities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Human Service Field
Direct related experience in First Nations and Mtis health is an asset.
Registered or eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
Valid Saskatchewan Driver's license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

A willingness to continually improve existing programs to meet the specific needs and culture of the community as new issues and trends emerge
Ability to analyze health issues in the context of the political and social climate along with individual/community readiness.
Ability to make independent decisions based on evidence-based practice and mental health and addiction principles.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheets, email and internet
Demonstrated ability to be accepted and trusted in Indigenous communities and work well with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations and
