Job Description: The Representative Workforce Consultant, in conjunction with the Manager, First Nations and Mtis Relations assumes a lead role in implementing the Representative Workforce Strategic Action Plan to build a workforce that represents the community we serve, in order to provide quality client-centred experiences to patients, clients, residents and families within the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The position requires liaising, establishing and building partnerships with key community stakeholder groups that are both internal and external to the Saskatchewan Health Authority, with an emphasis upon the Aboriginal communities. The Consultant uses a high level of interpersonal, conflict resolution and problem solving and change management skills.
Required Qualifications
Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable
Undergraduate degree or diploma in health or social sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Class 5 Driver's license
Experience
3 - 5 years' experience working in cross-cultural environments, particularly among First Nations and Mtis communities, organizations and agencies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of First Nations and Metis History in Saskatchewan along with an understanding of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action
Knowledge of the healthcare system in Saskatchewan
