Description

Great Plains College is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic instructor(s) for our Practical Nursing program at the Swift Current Campus. The instructor will plan, organize and implement instructional programming in a learning environment that guides and encourages learners to develop and fulfil their academic potential.

Position Details:
Student Contact Days: 60.5 days
Total Contract Days: 68.25 days
Start date: September 9, 2024
End date: May 16, 2025

Health Assessment and Praxis 4  Medical Surgery (CLIN241), Health Assessment and Praxis 4  Obstetrics (CLIN241), Foundations 3 - Maternal Child Health (NURS292), Community Health (NRSG298)

Qualifications:
The Practical Nursing Instructor should bring the following qualifications to this position:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing or a directly related field.
Eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association.
Minimum two years recent and relevant clinical or teaching experience in the specialty area to be taught.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal and presentation.
Proven organizational skills.
Ability to apply the theory, practices and principles of nursing and adult learning.
Small group facilitation skills and leading, modeling and teaching interaction skills.
Effective instructional ability.
Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Understanding of the principles of adult education.
Effectively deliver course material as provided by Saskatchewan Polytechnic,and develop complementary material to supplement the course as required.
