Description

NorthWind Wood Treatment Inc is a lumber treatment facility located on the site of NorthWind Forest Products in Glaslyn, SK and is proudly owned by the Meadow Lake Tribal Council. We treat a variety of specialty wood products including fence posts, rails, rough lumber, and utility poles using a CCA (Chromium Copper Arsenic) solution.

We are currently looking for a Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. Duties include:
- responsible for safe and efficient operation of the facility and primary contact when on site
- transferring products between the treatment chamber, kilns, and yard using rail carts and wheel loaders
- ensuring proper treatment of various products using computer and mechanical systems
- quality control testing on products at various stages in the treatment process
- loading and unloading of product on treatment carts using a wheel loader
- continuous monitoring and preventative maintenance of the facility, including keeping a clean work environment

REQUIREMENTS
- demonstrated ability to work safely in an industrial environment
- ability to work various shifts independently
- some experience with computers
- a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred
