Job Description: The Clinical Instructor / Wound Care Clinician works under the administrative supervision and reports to the Manager of Professional Practice, Occupational Therapy. The Clinical Instructor functions as an overall coordinator and resource person for nursing and other clinical employees. In collaboration with the Manager of Professional Practice, Occupational Therapy, Directors, Managers and employees, the clinical instructor assists in determining clinical employee learning needs, develops, coordinates and delivers educational programming as appropriate. Providing education and suport for the evidence-based assessment and treatment of wounds will be an additional focus of this position. The Clinical Instructor may be required to deliver training in a variety of settings, ranging from a formal classroom environment to point care on a specific unit.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support for Care Givers (BLS-HCP)
Certification as a wound care clinician from accredited program (International Interprofessional Wound Care Course, Grant MacEwen's Wound Management Course, or equivalent)
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Valid drivers license and the ability to travel both within the Region and Provincially.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years current experience in acute care, mental health, or community nursing and / or in employee education is required.
Previous experience in nursing education preferred.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
