Reporting to the Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Analyst will work with a high level of independence and as part of a team to collaborate across CIC, the public sector, and with external stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance economic growth and attract investment to the Province of Saskatchewan. In this position, you will: Stay current with trends, identify opportunities, conduct research and analysis, engage with public and private partners, and develop strategies and policies that will support economic development and investment attraction in Saskatchewan. Conduct complex economic, financial, risk and policy analysis. Facilitate, guide, and advance opportunities for collaboration across the Saskatchewan public sector. Lead and advise to optimize Crown sector procurement and local supply chain development activities.
Assist in development and implementation of policies relating to broadband connectivity in Saskatchewan. Support the work of the Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel. Represent CIC at meetings, events, and in regular dialogue with Crown corporations, ministries, business interests and other stakeholders. Develop written materials, including briefing notes, speaking points, decision and information items, quarterly reports, and presentations. Provide advice and present recommendations on a variety of initiatives to the CIC Executive. Qualifications and skill requirements include: Graduate or undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline with experience in strategic analyst or advisor roles. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
