Description

The Role of Facilitator in the EYFRC is to implement the goals and objectives of the program and to reflect the Centres philosophy in early childhood and parent engagement.
Use sound judgment to meet or exceed workplace guidelines, standards and expectations.
Acts with honesty, integrity, and personal ethics.
The facilitator will work at the EYFRC in collaboration with other EYFRC team members creating a learning rich environment for families including scheduled play and registered programming.
Listens actively and communicate effectively with others.
Highly organized, plans ahead to organize and/or participate in activities and programs.
Understand how children acquire language and creative expression and develop physically, cognitively, and socially.
Committed to ensuring the safety and security of children; maintains awareness of environment.
Knowledgeable about child development and be able to create, programs, activities, and invitation to meet the varying needs and stages 0 - 5 years.
Support the continued implementation of best practices through utilization of Play and Exploration.  
Create collaborative working relationships with community partners and integrate their professional expertise into the programming offered at the EYFRC.
Understanding of available community resources.
Sound judgment, flexible in meeting the different needs of families.
Provides service in non-judgmental and culturally sensitive manner.
Respect cultural, spiritual, and family choices in every family that we serve.  
Demonstrate leadership skills and be a positive role model of best practice for families, community.
Committed to the idea of continuing personal and professional development.
Self-motivated and able to use time efficiently; balance of cleaning, creating, engagement with families and paperwork for facility requirements.
