Description

For the position of Senior Technologist, Water Rights, Approvals & Compliance

We are looking for a self-starting innovative individual who
encourages differing opinions and perspectives and seeks
continual improvement. You follow through on
commitments and strive to maintain positive,
collaborative relationships with internal and external
stakeholders.

As a Senior Technologist, Water Rights, Approvals &
Compliance, you will, within a multi-disciplinary team
environment, provide technical and administrative
expertise specific to the WSAs regulatory activities
including compliance, enforcement, approvals, and
inquiries.

The position provides Duty to Consult, Environmental
Assessment Review and education and communication of
WSA programs to the citizens of Saskatchewan.

In addition, this employee will review, investigate and
respond to regulatory applications and complaints
associated with the cancellation/closure of, or
construction and/or operation of, surface and ground
water works and water use/allocation to ensure the
sustainable and environmentally sound development of
the provinces surface and groundwater resources.

You will also provide technical evaluation and assessment
activities including: collecting and analyzing available
meteorological, hydrogeological or hydrometric
information; analyzing pumping test data, review of local
geology, drillers reports and available geophysical logs,
estimating and calculate local runoff and water supply; and
discuss proposed or historic operations with other
agencies and the public.

Working collaboratively with stakeholders, you will strive
for excellence and act with integrity while representing
WSAs interests. You are committed to operating within
established guidelines and value safe work practices.
