Description

The Medical Transportation Coordinator will work under the direction and supervision of the Office Manager at the Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre main office. The Medical Transportation Coordinator will have the responsibility for the effective coordination of approved medical transportation and other Non-Insured Health Benefits for Lucky Man band members using Non-Insured Health Benefits policies and procedures.  
The Medical Transportation Coordinator will also provide coverage for other BRT6HC medical transportation coordinator in Sweetgrass and will also be responsible for some office reception, clerical duties, and expected to maintain strict confidentiality, and to be always courteous and professional.(3 Days/Week).

QUALIFICATIONS
* Diploma from a recognized business college.  Grade 12 and equivalencies with related work experience will be considered
* Experience working in a team setting
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to utilize when assisting clients over the phone, social media, or video conferencing.
* Must be proficient with word processing and spreadsheets, and general office equipment
* Demonstrated ability for attention to detail and thoroughness
* Confidentiality is essential; candidate must be capable of maintaining high levels of confidentiality
* Must provide a successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector
* Knowledge of and sensitivity to the First Nations language
* Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.
* Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License
