Description

Great Plains College is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic instructor(s) for our Continuing Care Assistant program at the Kindersley Campus. Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the CCA Instructor will plan organize and implement an instructional program and learning environment that guides and encourages learners to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

Start Date: September 3, 2024
End Date: April 30, 2025
Student Contact Days: 80 days
Total Contract Days: 90.5 days

Body Systems (ANAT 100), Personal Competence (SPCR 192), Special Needs 2 (SPCR 285), Special Procedures (SPCR 108), Clinical 2 - Special Care (CLIN219), Personal Care 1 (SPCR 104), Personal Care 2 (SPCR 105), Clinical 1 - Special Care (CLIN100), Special Needs 1 (SPCR 284).

Qualifications:
The CCA Instructor should bring the following qualifications to this position:
- Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with a degree in Nursing, Education or related subject area or an equivalent combination or education, training and experience.
- Eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan.
- Minimum two years recent and relevant work experience that must include experience in gerontology, home care and special care.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal and presentation.
- Proven organizational Skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Understanding of the principles of adult education.
- Demonstrates valuing diversity.
