We have an immediate opening for a Civil Engineering Technologist. Reporting directly to the Senior Quality and Process Engineer, the successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of activities and projects at our Chaplin sodium sulphate mining operation.
The Engineering Technologists principal responsibility will be to manage the brining operations at our Chaplin and Bishopric sodium sulphate deposits. This will entail:
Monitoring, data collection, and reporting for the freshwater and brining areas
Coordination and reporting of the brine pumping activities
Coordination of reservoir and stockpile surveys
Ensuring regulatory requirements are met with the Water Security Agency and Ministry of Environment
Other duties include supporting the maintenance of civil infrastructure, effluent testing and water chemistry analysis, water supply and flood and drought management, and maintenance projects in the process mill. Some travel is required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Must be a graduate of a suitable engineering technologist program from a recognized post-secondary institution
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and survey systems and equipment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Must have a valid drivers license
