Northwinds Bus Lines Ltd. is situated in the picturesque lakes and forests region of La Ronge, Saskatchewan, and is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill our new Operations Manager position! As a cornerstone of the community, we proudly offer transportation solutions through our two divisions: school bus services and waste disposal. Our commitment to providing safe, reliable, and efficient services is unwavering, with a dedicated focus on excellence and innovation.
As the Operations Manager, you report to the General Manager and play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing daily operations and building a safety culture throughout the company.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing operational strategies and policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and performance and monitoring and enforcing compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Managing staffing levels to meet the demands of the school year including hiring and training of drivers. Overseeing logistics including scheduling, dispatching, and route planning to optimize resources.
- Leading and mentoring a team of drivers and staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Monitoring driver performance, conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring that buses and equipment are checked and maintained to meet standards.
- Ensuring that all documentation for operations and regulators is maintained and organized.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients and customers addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
