Responsibilities & Duties
Participate in the summer camp instructor hiring process
Create camp curriculum
Plan & lead training sessions for camp instructors
Manage, support, & supervise camp instructors
Maintain positive, professional, and constructive relationship with staff members & campers
Maintain a safe camp environment
Lead and facilitate camp
Teach public speaking & debate skills
Provide an enjoyable and educational experience for all participants
Participate in feedback and reporting processes
The Camp Director will work from our Saskatoon office and the camp venue (University of Saskatchewan)
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum grade 12 education, some post-secondary education preferred
1-3 years of experience in leadership role with children.
Team player with leadership skills/experience
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
Reliable and organized
Must have access to a laptop/computer/tablet with reliable internet.
First Aid/CPR certification considered an asset
Speech or debate experience strongly preferred
Successful criminal record and vulnerable sector check
This job is funded in part though the Canada Summer Jobs Program. To be eligible, applicants must:
