A Prep Cook is responsible for washing, cutting, and preparing food and ingredients for cooking. They also organize kitchen tools, wash dishes, maintain cleanliness, and assist the Chef and other cooking staff as needed. Ensuring food is safely handled and properly stored is paramount.
Duties & Responsibilities
-Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
-Ensuring Chef has all necessary ingredients in stock for menu completion
-Washing dishes and cutlery
-Seasoning and preparing ingredients for cooking
-Preparing dishes such as salads or simpler menu items
-Setting out Chef's ingredients before each shift and restocking as needed
