Prairie Centre Accounting is currently seeking an individual for the permanent full-time role of a Bookkeeper for our Rosetown location. The successful candidate will be highly motivated to accuracy and be willing to dig deep to explore unfamiliar territory to get the correct answer. The bookkeeper will have a technical background complimented with strong analytical and communication skills, to provide a high level of support to the department
Responsibilities:
Reconcile accounts
Maintain and control accounting entries, general ledgers, and
financial statements
Post entries
Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
Be the backup resource for departmental staff, as required
Recommend and implement best practices and procedures for the
Accounting Department
Prepared to work overtime as required
Key Qualifications:
Proven accounting experience (5 years at least) up to financial
statement reconciliation
Exceptional attention to detail, client service driven and prepared
to work in a fast-paced environment and cope + meet with rigid
deadlines
Proven tax preparation experience
High attention to detail
Self-starter with high-efficiency rate
SAGE/QuickBooks or AgExpert knowledge preferred but not required
Salary will commensurate with qualifications, experience, and education.
