Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing, the RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in Obstetrics and Maternal and Newborn care (focus on the complete continuum of mother baby care)..
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)

NOTE: This is a Provincial Posting and is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Articles 27.02 and 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement. First preference will be given to employees of the SKHA (Saskatoon) and its affiliated agencies.

It will be desirable if you possess a knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques involved in performing nursing services relating to the care of patients in Obstetrics and Maternal and Newborn care. This knowledge is commonly obtained through previous experience in Obstetrical and Post-Partum Nursing.  This position is based on Labor and Delivery but may be re-assigned to Maternal and Newborn care depending on Operational needs.  The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons.
