Job Description: Coordinates the operations of the Security Department.
Required Qualifications

Security Officer Applied certificate
Experience
Previous: Twenty-four (24) months previous experience in Security which includes Transport Canada/Federal Aviation Authority Heliport Ground Operations certification.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to deal with aggressive/violent individuals
Ability to work independently
Basic computer skills
Communication skills
Interpersonal skills
Leadership skills
Organizational skills
Valid drivers license
Other Information

Activities & abilities specific to SKHA (Saskatoon): ability to successfully complete the P.A.R.E. (physical standards test) prior to employment

The Security Officer works closely with patients, their caregivers and extended family members in addition to SHR staff and visitors to the facility.  The Security Officer regularly interacts with clients with mental health and psychiatric issues as well as with aggressive and/or violent clients.  The incumbent must display compassion for the individuals and an ability to remain calm and take charge in stressful and often emotionally escalated situations.

Expected Start Date: May 23, 2024
Expected Up To Date: December 14, 2025
FTE: 1.00

Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days, Nights, Weekends
152.00 hours per 4 week rotation
