Sales Supervisor Responsibilities
The sales supervisor will coordinate and supervise sales staff and cashiers. They will determine and prepare work schedules and assign duties to sales workers. The supervisor will assist the employer with hiring and training of new sales staff and monitor/report on performance. They may perform the same duties as the workers supervised. The supervisor may be required to resolve issues that may arise such as customer complaints and requests. The supervisor must ensure that the store displays, signage and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
The sales supervisor may perform managerial duties if required, such as opening and closing the store; managing complaints, or as needed by the employer.
Education / Employment Requirements
A formal education is not required for the position of sales supervisor; however the applicant must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent sales supervisory experience.
