Suncorp Valuations, a member of the Canadian Home Builders' Association - Saskatchewan, has an opening for a Valuation Consultant for their Public Sector group in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Suncorp Valuations is a full service appraisal and valuation consulting firm with offices in Canada and the U.S. They appraise land, buildings, machinery and other equipment for financing, litigation support, mergers and acquisitions, and insurance purposes.
The successful applicant for this position will be trained to perform building valuations and equipment inventories, pricing research, and analyze fixed assets within the public sector (educational, health care and municipal).
The successful individual must posses:
-Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field
-Willingness to undertake specific sector training to move towards accreditation in an appraisal related field.
-Willingness to travel extensively
Considered an asset would be:
-Construction experience and an understanding of building design and infrastructure.
-Previous appraisal experience in the public sector
The successful individual's skill set will include:
-Strong planning, organizational, and scheduling skills.
-excellent oral and written communication skills
-Attention to detail.
-Ability to work on multiple tasks.
-Ability to deal with people effectively at all levels.
-advanced computer software skills, particularly working with complex spreadsheets.
-Self motivation.
-Ability to work both within a team and independently.
