Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Senior Communications Specialist (Online) provides vision, leadership and coordination for the university?s online presence. As such the candidate plays an integral role in the success of the University of Saskatchewan?s communications efforts, providing innovative, effective and creative use of online communications technologies, with the key goal of measurably increasing the profile and understanding of the university on a local, regional and national level.  The Senior Communications Specialist (Online) is the primary contact in developing online communication strategies in concert with overall communications plans. The Senior Communications Specialist works collaboratively across campus to provide expertise and support in these areas, and contributes to the university?s strategic directions by maintaining an understanding of the university?s priorities and ensuring that key university message, theme and position are integrated in online communications.  The Senior Communications Specialist (Online) maintains a full understanding of the tools and processes available to leverage online communications and must be knowledgeable of university policy and practice with regards to communications and the impact this has on the online environment.
