Description

The Saskatoon Industry-Education Council (SIEC) is a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors. The SIEC is a partnership between the Public, Catholic and Prairie Spirit School Divisions, as well as, regional business/industry.  Our vision is create a community of shared responsibility; preparing youth for quality careers. Industry and Education collaborate and focus resources supporting youth to make educated career-life decisions.

The SIEC is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Communications Office. The successful application must have: strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Windows, experience in video editing and design/publishing software is an asset, excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to express ideas and concepts effectively both orally and in writing, demonstrating skill in adapting communication techniques to various situations and audience, ability to promote and adhere to the principles of teamwork including: participation, shared responsibility, open communication, trust and mutual support.

Education Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent is required
Post secondary education is considered an asset

Responsibilities:
Liaise with educational institutions, industry and government partners. Plan, organize, direct and coordinate all aspects of communications. This may include writing, design and development of print (newsletters, brochures, booklets, etc) web based materials and video technology. Liaise with media and have responsibility for developing media bulletins, news releases, advisories. Work with the SIEC Board of Directors and the Operations Committee. Develop marketin and promotional materials for specific target groups. Support the marketin and sustainability plan of the SIEC Business Plan. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
