Employment Opportunity: Editor / Writer (Contracted)

The Saskatchewan Association for Community Living (SACL) is seeking an Editor to conduct research and write one or more of the association?s publications. The successful individual will work with our team of dedicated professionals to ensure that citizens of Saskatchewan who have an intellectual disability are valued, supported and included in all aspects of life.
Contract responsibilities and expectations:
As the contracted editor/writer of the Saskatchewan Association for Community Living?s Dialect magazine you will ensure that the publication is full of current, informative and newsworthy articles that will benefit the intended audiences. Especially important to the project will be the inclusion of special interest pieces on people with intellectual disabilities and their families
The responsibilities of the role include: generating ideas for features, commissioning work by freelance writers or personally researching and writing articles, editing and proofreading, liaising with artists and photographers and designing and creating layout options.
Financial compensation will be subject to negotiation.
