Description

Broadcast Technician

THE JOB
You'll be a big part of making Access7 community programming look its technical best. You'll repair, maintain and schedule maintenance on programming equipment, and provide technical line up on productions. Your attention to detail will be put to the test, as you'll also make sure that taped, digitized, and on-air performance meets broadcast standards, and your own. You'll be working as part of a team, so it wouldn't hurt to have excellent communication skills!

THE CANDIDATE
If you have an Electronic Technician Certificate specializing in Telecommunication/Radio or Broadcast systems, you're off to a great start. Throw in two years experience, and a thorough knowledge of electronic broadcast concepts, video/audio production and transport, well that would be even better. You should be familiar with production equipment, especially microwave, satellite, and fibre optic transport, and your mechanical aptitude is only upstaged by your great attitude - this is Access after all.

THE COMPANY
Access offers competitive salaries and a benefits package that will knock your socks off, but that's just the beginning. It?s the kind of place where you can be proud of what you do. We do good things in the community and everyone who works here is a part of that. We are committed to Employment Equity through the development of a work force that reflects the communities we serve.
