Social Media & Promotions Coordinator

ThIS position is responsible to manage digital messaging and maintain the communications database enabling the organization to be in constant contact with clients and potential clients. The position is also responsible for maintaining and updating the corporate website, building and maintaining relationships, and social networking using a variety of tools such as email, facebook, twitter and blogging.  Other duties relate to event production, public and media relations, and sponsor fulfillment.  This position also writes and produces internal and external newsletters and documents for partner groups including staff, volunteers and shareholders.

The successful candidate will have post-secondary education in marketing, journalism and/or public relations complemented by experience in a marketing and/or public relations position. You will have a way with words, a creative imagination and the ability to develop new and exciting ideas.  Experience in a computerized environment with practical knowledge of website design and maintenance, databases, spreadsheets, word processing and desktop publishing is a must.  The individual must have above average interpersonal skills, written and oral.  This highly motivated and enthusiastic applicant  promotes and practices the concept of teamwork.

This unionized position has a pay range of $12.74 - $19.06 per hour.
