SUMMER STUDENT(s)
Warehouse(Shift Positions)- 4
The successful candidates will perform duties that include clamp truck operation, truck loading, and general housekeeping. Previous heavy equipment or industrial experience is considered an asset.
Woodroom(4 Shift Positions) 4
The shift students will be responsible for loader and skid steer operation, and general housekeeping duties. Previous heavy equipment or industrial experience is considered an asset.
Steam & Recovery (Shadow Shift Positions) - 2
Duties will include housekeeping, pond work, yard cleanup, and aiding in the day to day operation of the Steam Plant. Preference will be given to students who have completed the first year of a recognized Power Engineering Program.
Stores(Day Position)- 1
The successful candidate will provide Stores with assistance including material stocking and counting, issuing, computer work, and forklift operation. Candidates must be customer focused, possess general computer knowledge, and be willing to be trained in forklift operation.
Logistics(Day Positions)- 1
For the Transportation and Purchasing Departments, the duties will include data entry, filing, and carrying out basic office tasks. Skills in data entry, Word, and Excel are preferred.
Human Resources(Day Positions)- 1
For the Human Resources Department, the duties will include data entry, filing, and carrying out basic office tasks. Skills in data entry, Word, and Excel are preferred.
Engineering Assistant(Day Position)- 1
The Engineering student will file, update and modify drawings and provide various other support duties to the Engineering Department. The successful candidate will have excellent computer and typing skills. Experience with AutoCAD is considered an asset.
All Summer Student applicants must be enrolled at a post-secondary institution for Full-Time studies in the fall of 2012. Proof of enrollment in a Post-Secondary program will be required.
