Description

The Gull Lake Advance weekly community newspaper in southwest Saskatchewan is looking for a talented reporter/photographer for its award-winning independent, locally owned publication to start immediately.  We offer a diverse portfolio opportunity for any young writer looking to gain experience. We have thriving oil and gas and agriculture sectors, a lively arts and sports scene and a community filled with interesting feature opportunities.

Qualifications
- Ability to produce 5 to 10 quality stories per week.
- Sound news judgement.
- Comfort with Quark XPress or InDesign.
- Strong digital photography skills.
- Familiarity and comfort with online tools including social media.

Chosen candidate will be expected to work a flexible schedule. Must have a valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
