Well Service Rig Manager
Area of operations: Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia
Nature of work: Permanent
Main Duties:
Accept instruction from Oil Company Representative
Enforce safety
Conduct rig safety inspections
Conduct crew meeting on all hazardous operations
Ensure operations and equipment conform to all government and company regulations
Prepare and submit daily tour sheets
Ensure Driller examines and signs tour sheets daily
Report all procedures that DO NOT conform to government and company regulations
Submit all paperwork and reports on time
Maintain communications and communication equipment
Supervise Operations
Provide Training
Organize Servicing Supplies and Equipment
o Obtain job information
o Identify Equipment for required job
o Arrange for special supplies and equipment
o Perform pre-check of all equipment task details
o Report findings to immediate supervisor
Organize Manpower
Organize Rig Moves
Rig Up
o Follow proper lease arrangements
o Assign crews
o Follow proper rig up procedures
Organize Servicing Operations
Rig Shutdown
o Return all rental equipment
o Prepare to move
o Rig out Equipment according to company policy
o Service and arrange for equipment repair as required
Employment Requirements:
H2S Alive
1-2 years practical experience as Well Service Rig Manager
Valid Drivers Class 5 drivers license with Air Brakes (or ability to obtain)
Proficient English language both verbal and written
