Description

Preferred Sands is an Industrial Sand company focused on acquiring and overseeing operations of industrial mineral assets throughout the United States. We have established strong relationships and long term contracts with the largest, most creditworthy oil and gas service companies in United States and Canada. We currently operate mines in Nebraska, Minnesota, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Canada.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced individual in the capacity of a Journeyman Mechanic for our Hanson Lake, SK location, which is located 20 kms south of kilometer 242 on the Hanson Lake Road, or if you're coming from the east, we are located - 90 kms west of Creighton/Flin Flon, then turn south for 20 kms.  

Job Summary: To provide top-notch mechanical diagnosis and repairs of mining and earth moving equipment, as well as sand processing equipment.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
-Takes initiative to troubleshoot and repair to ensure the company's fleet of equipment is safely and consistently working at maximum capacity.
-Accurate documentation of maintenance and repair records
-Daily preventative maintenance of production equipment
-Follows company and OHS regulations
-Communicate effectively and timely with manager and team members

REQUIRED SKILLS:

-strong time management skills
-Demonstrate flexibility & a solid work ethic

Shifts are 10 days on, 5 days off, all day-shift. This position is fast-paced with plenty of opportunity.
