As our candidate of choice, you will work with a team of health care professionals, to provide direct patient nursing care and treatment, maintain patient records, actively promote preventative health measures, respond to medical/psychiatric emergencies with appropriate interventions, and assess medical and mental conditions and make referrals as needed.

To qualify for this position you will be actively registered with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPN), or the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (RN).  You will be required to have knowledge of medical and psychiatric theories and related intervention strategies, drug/alcohol withdrawal indicators and effects, communicable diseases in a correctional population, public heath issues and risk factors and multi-cultural beliefs, values and perspectives.  The successful candidate will work day, evening and weekend shifts.

We are seeking a candidate who will demonstrate a commitment to CPSPs goals: act with honesty and integrity, treat everyone with dignity and respect, be committed to the pursuit of excellence, exhibit leadership and professionalism, embrace diversity and equality and be responsible and accountable.
