Job Duties: Will include but not be limited to:
To seek input from clients regarding their recreational and outing preferences
Organizing, teaching, training and supervision of varied recreational activities
To attend various recreational and social outings and assist supervising clients
To complete recreational and outing plans in a timely manner
To play a leadership role in the planning, organizing, preparations and delivery of Mallard's contribution to Wadena's Centennial celebrations, August long weekend in 2012
To assist the Executive Director complete duties related to new initiatives for the organization such as: conducting information gathering surveys with businesses and the public, investigating costs and requirements associated with grant applications and proposals, writing internal items for the Mallard website/ newsletter, and/ or external pieces for public newspapers etc.,
To maintain good communication with employees/ clients and residents
To suggest, plan and facilitate the participation of clients in as many positive functions as they wish to and are able to.
To participate in the day to day administration of the Mallard offices including, but not limited to; answering telephones, completing written correspondence, filing, cleaning, and reception
To assist the supervisors in Light Industry, Heavy Industry, and Recycling departments in
Complete required reports related to clients.
May be responsible for carrying personal liability insurance on their private vehicle. The base cost of this insurance will be funded at the base SGI rate.
Other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
This staff will be working toward a Rehabilitation, Recreation, and Social Work, Education Administration or related post-secondary education.
