Description
The Administrative Assistant will assist in administratively
supporting the Childrens Summer Program and the SIMFC
Indian and Metis Folkfest Pavilion. Duties will include
coordinating travel and admissions for the Summer Childrens
program and handling aspects of communications and
coordination in regards to enterta
iners, artisans, venue related contracts, promotions,
fundraisers, and follow up reporting for the Indian and Metis
Folkfest Pavilion. The successful candidate will be required to
work flex time.
Skills and Requirements:
- Preference will be given to Aboriginal applicants (First
Nations, Metis, Inuit)
- Must be returning to school in the fall of 2012
- Some post-secondary education preferred, ideally in a field
related to the duties ie. Education, Social Work, Recreation
Technology, Business Administration
- Hold a valid drivers license
- Present a current CPIC
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of Aboriginal community services
- Performs work in accordance with policies and procedures of
the organization
