Description
Saskatchewan Corrections, Public Safety and Policing is seeking energetic and highly motivated individuals to provide clinical direction and support for offender programs and complex-need cases for Adult Corrections and Young Offender custody facilities within a geographic region. Reporting to a facility director, and the Provincial Director of Program Development and Therapeutic Services, you will be a member of a dynamic team of professionals. You will work closely with facility directors, regional directors, and key community stakeholders throughout the province in developing effective program services to offenders.
You will be an enthusiastic leader with advanced professional knowledge of best-practice correctional research and program services. You will provide expert knowledge and direction in assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation programs. You will take the lead role in the development of case plans for complex-need cases. You will apply your knowledge of research and evaluation techniques to conduct quantitative and qualitative reviews of existing programs, and develop corresponding strategies to improve service delivery. Your demonstrated ability to develop cohesive and respectful relationships within the ministry, and among key stakeholders, will contribute to achieving the goals and objectives of the position.
Typically, candidates will obtain the knowledge and abilities required for this position through a Master's or Ph.D. degree in a field of psychology. Equivalent advanced training will be considered. You will have a personal management style exemplified by respect, consultation, and empowerment, and will have demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
