Description

Under the direction of the VP of Primary Health Services, this permanent full-time out-of-scope position is responsible for the provision of primary health and chronic disease prevention and management services as well as the coordination of intersectoral programming in Prairie North Health Region by effectively and efficiently developing, maintaining and delivering services to residents and families.  The incumbent will play an important role in the development and standardization of care, policies and procedures throughout the Region.  This position also participates in various regional and provincial committees, and in other client-related activities.

The successful candidate must have a recognized Degree in Health Sciences, Administration or a related field at the Masters or Bachelors level or an acceptable combination of education and experience; an Executive certification with Canadian College of Health Service Executives is preferred along with three to five years of experience in health administration.  Experience in program management, working with professional organizations, First Nations organizations and government is required.  The successful candidate will have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, along with flexibility, sensitivity and a true commitment to continuous quality improvement in client services.  Travel will be required in this position.

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Out-of-Scope Management Compensation Plan.
