Description

The Position:

Golder Associates Ltd. is currently seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Estevan, Saskatchewan office.

Responsibilities Include:
Developing business and providing technical services to clients in South East Saskatchewan and South West Manitoba in the oil and gas, mining, and power sectors;
Managing client relationships for our key and valued oil and gas clients;
Ensuring the best possible client satisfaction in supporting account management through  developing local client relationships, managing proposals and technical deliverables, and maintaining communication between the clients and with the Golder consulting community;
Assisting with staff development and recruiting; and
Logistical management of the Estevan office.

Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Minimum Bachelors Degree in natural sciences, engineering or environmental discipline;
A minimum of 7-10 years of consulting or industry experience;
Experience in the upstream Oil & Gas exploration and production;
Working knowledge of provincial (i.e., Saskatchewan and Manitoba) and federal environmental laws and regulations related to the oil and gas, mining and power industries;
Ability to work directly with clients and be able to develop and grow business opportunities with existing clients, identify leads and proposal preparation;
Previous experience including contamination assessment and remediation would be considered an asset;
Excellent technical writing, communication and project management skills;
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a team.
