Description
Ground Effects is seeking an energetic and hardworking individual to fill the role of Millwright for an innovative and growing organization. This is work at the journeyman level to assemble, install, maintain, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair remediation equipment and industrial water treatment plants.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Journeyman Millwright Certification
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment or previous comparable job experience
- Ability to read & follow blueprint drawings
- Must have strong mechanical & troubleshooting skills
- Must be physically fit to lift &/or move up to 50lbs
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced & innovative team environment
- Ability to quickly adapt to multiple projects
Tasks & Duties:
- Read blueprints, diagrams & schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Assemble, fit & install prefabricated parts that include motors, pumps, vessels, and vessel components
- Diagnose mechanical defects &/or equipment malfunctions & determine modifications, materials & supplies required
- Operate small cranes/forklifts
- Operate threaders, grinders & other machine tools to fabricate parts
- Perform preventative maintenance & equipment repairs
- Perform work safely & follow established work procedures
