Description

STRUCTURAL GEOLOGIST
Saskatoon, SK

POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Camecos exploration and discovery team is comprised of
exploration and earth science specialists.  Within the exploration
geoscience group, an opening exists for a structural geologist
who will provide specialist support to geoscience teams working
across the business spectrum, from the data rich near mine
environment to the greenfield exploration frontiers.
  
You will be responsible for ensuring that structural studies are
fully integrated with generative work undertaken by the
geoscience group and for identifying and gathering data from
appropriate analogs worldwide, while building strong
relationships with both internal and external resources.
Knowledge sharing between external research groups, business
units and the exploration team is an essential component of the
job.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements of the position:
At minimum, a Masters degree specializing in structural geology
of ore deposits (candidates in the final stages of completion are
encouraged to apply)
A minimum of three to six years of relevant work experience
with structurally complex mineralised systems from the deposit
to regional scale, structural mapping, and analysis and
interpretation of mineralized systems
Equivalent combination of education and work experience
considered
Demonstrated ability to generate 2D and 3D geological
interpretations via the integration of geological and geophysical
data sets
Proven ability to independently or as part of a team, generate,
implement and complete multiple work assignments in a
dynamic work environment
Travel to Camecos various exploration projects
Eligibility for registration with the Association of Professional
Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan
Assets:
Experience with GIS mapping and 3D modelling software
