Description
You will get the opportunity to gain experience and learn skills to efficiently and safely operate a grain and/or crop input handling facility while working with a supportive team dedicated to career development and employee engagement.
Principal Accountabilities:
60% - Operate machinery to receive and ship grain and/or crop input products in a safe manner; maintain machinery, the facility, and the grounds to ensure conformity with safety standards
20% - Provide high-level customer service by understanding the customer's needs and ensuring the needs are met as they relate to services provided by the FSC
20% - Ensure existing controls to minimize the location grain and/or crop inputs inventory losses are followed and continuously seek ways to improve safety, productivity, and customer service
Qualifications:
Required:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of the team
Strong customer service focus
Strong problem solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
Ability to perform physical tasks that require climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling
Ability to work from heights and in varying climate and environment conditions
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate machinery
Able to work flexible work hours and days throughout the year
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada on a non-temporary basis
Preferred:
Agricultural experience would be considered an asset
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to service and troubleshoot machinery
Valid drivers license with the ability to operate a vehicle
