Description
BHP Billiton is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Reliability Engineer for our Jansen potash mine. This is a key role in the maintenance function in preparedness for Jansen operation. Reporting to the Superintendent Analysis and Improvement, you will ensure the development, deployment and continuous improvement of the maintenance integrity and reliability strategies for the operation's plant and equipment. You will integrate and support BHP Billiton's global processes while maintaining a high degree of internal customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
-An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
-Conducting weekly and monthly analysis and reporting to key customers.
-Identifying and eliminating business critical equipment defects through focused improvement projects.
-Conducting root cause analysis on major equipment failures.
-Identifying and improving the quality of maintenance services being provided by asset care teams.
-Ensuring SAP master data and material information is up to date and accurate.
-To develop, deploy, and continuously improve maintenance work management strategies for the Operation.
-Conduct chairing area monthly equipment performance reviews with key stakeholders.
-Signing off on maintenance readiness for Capital projects delivered by the Engineering Services Department.
-Providing direction and decision making on out of spec condition monitoring results.
-Ensure compliance to work plans and statutory and legislative requirements.
-Provide organizational governance in the application of 1SAP processes and promote understanding and compliance to 1SAP principles.
The Requirements:
-Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or related discipline)
-3 - 5 Years maintenance experience in large industrial environment (e.g. Processing, Manufacturing or Mining Industries)
