Description

The Agriculture Council of Saskatchewan (ACS) requires a highly motivated and innovative Project Officer who will provide support to the ACS Executive Director and assist in the promotion, delivery and administration of federally funded research programs for agriculture in Saskatchewan.

Skills and abilities:
    Highly motivated self-starter.
    Ability to meet tight deadlines, competing work priorities and continually organize workload.
    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    Ability to relate well to members of the public, non-government and government agencies.
    Proficient computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Netscape Navigator, and Microsoft Explorer.  Knowledge of Microsoft Access would be an asset.
    Ability to work as part of a team.
    Ability to follow through on details.
Qualifications
    Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Commerce; a combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
    Understanding of agricultural and rural issues.
    Previous experience with provincial and federal government programs.
    Proven track record of handling multiple tasks.
    Minimum of five years project management experience.
    Prior experience in resource management and/or environmental assessment would be an asset.
    Willingness and ability to travel.
    Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
