SPECIALIST, SAFETY (INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE)

POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working within the compliance and licensing department at
Camecos corporate office, you will be responsible for
supporting, developing, and facilitating the consistent
application of corporate health, safety, and industrial hygiene
programs at the Saskatchewan mining and milling facilities to
comply with legislative, industrial, and company requirements.
You will focus on reducing health and safety related illnesses and
injuries through the development and support of industrial
hygiene programs. These programs will recognize, evaluate and
control chemical, physical, biological and ergonomic hazards in
the mine and mill settings. Duties will include investigation of
workplace related injuries, providing technical expertise and
regulatory oversight to new project and existing operations,
determination of the effectiveness of engineering control
methods and making recommendations regarding location,
design, structure, operations, and maintenance of contaminant
and physical agent control systems.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements of the position:
A bachelors degree in industrial hygiene or a directly related
science or engineering
Five to eight years of relevant work experience
Equivalent combination of education and work experience
considered
Excellent facilitation, communication and project management
skills
Experience and proficiency with technical writing
Assets:
Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation
Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) or Registered
Occupational Hygiene Technologist (ROHT) designation
