TECHNICAL MANAGER
Cigar Lake Project, SK
POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the general manager, the technical manager is a key
person in the management team, responsible for leading the
mine engineering, geology, metallurgy, and sustaining projects
teams at the Cigar Lake project, while ensuring that
departmental targets, federal and provincial regulations are met
along with all relevant cost, safety and environmental goals.
You will provide leadership and support in developing reliable
production plans and technical QA/QC systems for Cigar Lake,
as well as, monitor and verify that costs stay within budgeted
levels. You will work in close partnership with the various
departments such as production and maintenance and be a key
leader in continual improvement initiatives.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in mine engineering
15 or more years of relevant experience
Eligibility for registration with the Association of Professional
Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
Background in operations or process engineering, and senior
supervision
Work an irregular schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
First aid and radiation protection training
Saskatchewan Labour Occupational Health and Safety Supervisors
