Manager, HR Payroll Administrative Services - ADM005791

The Manager will perform a full range of management duties, including financial and human resource management, and provides overall leadership to a team of approximately 70 staff comprised of Team Leads and Human Resource Payroll Administrators who provide human resource, benefit and payroll administration services to clients.  The Manager is the primary liaison between clients and Human Resource Service Teams on issues pertaining to payroll, benefit and payroll processes, improvements and escalations.  This will also include the development of performance metrics and internal controls for quality customer service and development of strategies, policies and processes for continuous improvement of processes and programs with a focus on customer service excellence.

To be successful in this position, a candidate must have knowledge of HR/Payroll systems, policies and practices in order to manage entry and processing of human resource data and payroll; and knowledge of human resource management principles and practices in order to effectively manage all human resource issues.  The successful candidate must also be able to create an environment that recognizes, supports, respects and welcomes diversity of employees and clients.  The knowledge required for this position is typically acquired through a Bachelor of Administration degree or Payroll Managers Certification with progressive management experience in human resources and/or payroll positions or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
