Description
The Regional Services Branch is seeking a highly motivated and self-confident individual to provide office management and administrative support to the regional staff in the Watrous Regional Office. As a member of the regional team, you will be responsible for a wide range of office administration activities, such as: managing/maintaining office equipment, space and furniture; purchasing of supplies; maintenance of inventory and records; monitoring of and processing payments of office expenditures; the development and maintenance of an appropriate filing/record management system for the office; and providing administrative support for office staff including supervision of one administrative support position.
As the Regional Services Representative, you will have excellent communication skills in order to provide written and verbal explanations to staff regarding administrative, human resource and/or ministry related guidelines and policies. You will have knowledge of office management and administrative practices and procedures as well as general computer applications such as word processing, databases, spreadsheet software and email.
Typically this knowledge would be gained through the completion of a certificate in office management/administration support and/or several years experience in an office environment.
You will be approachable, courteous, cooperative and flexible when dealing with co-workers and clients both in person and by telephone. Your attentiveness to detail and self-confident approach to resolving problems makes you an ideal candidate for this administrative position.
